I can't believe that there was more than one book to the new series and when this one came out I was very intrigued by the cover art。 Chris Colfer weaves another good story by making twists and turns that are only partially expected。 If you loved the land of stories and "A Tale Of Magic" then this book is definitely for you。 I can't believe that there was more than one book to the new series and when this one came out I was very intrigued by the cover art。 Chris Colfer weaves another good story by making twists and turns that are only partially expected。 If you loved the land of stories and "A Tale Of Magic" then this book is definitely for you。 。。。more

i basically wrote a full, thought-out essay for the first book so I'll keep this short:-bad mental health rep u cant just "think happy thoughts" and solve all ur depression, its awful to give ppl, esp KIDS (this is mg), mentally ill heroes then say "WHOOPS! it was actually a curse, shes too STRONG and KIND to ever succumb to something like DEPRESSION, thats for BAD people", i legit almost cried because of that and im older than the target audience-The characters and humor were better bc we spent i basically wrote a full, thought-out essay for the first book so I'll keep this short:-bad mental health rep u cant just "think happy thoughts" and solve all ur depression, its awful to give ppl, esp KIDS (this is mg), mentally ill heroes then say "WHOOPS! it was actually a curse, shes too STRONG and KIND to ever succumb to something like DEPRESSION, thats for BAD people", i legit almost cried because of that and im older than the target audience-The characters and humor were better bc we spent lots of time in Lucy's head & with the witches-the writing and worldbuilding still suckthe romance was gutsy tho, the prince dude is my favourite, i dont care if (view spoiler)[he's evil (hide spoiler)], i would have joined him bc im not a coward-marginally better than the first-2 stars-if i ever read something else in the series its not me, ive been replaced by aliens-thank u and good day 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I loved Chris Colfer's version of Death, the in-between, I thought that was really amazing and creative。 I especially loved that it showed the names of her children, grandchildren and Ezmia。 Other than a really amazing version of the in-between of the afterlife, it was a nice tribute to the future characters。 I loved Chris Colfer's version of Death, the in-between, I thought that was really amazing and creative。 I especially loved that it showed the names of her children, grandchildren and Ezmia。 Other than a really amazing version of the in-between of the afterlife, it was a nice tribute to the future characters。 。。。more

I found this book to be kind of dull, compared to the Land of Stories a lot of action is building up and happening constantly。 I think this carried on a bit too long without a lot of suspense/action。 I really enjoy finding out about the Fairy Godmother before Connor and Alex though。

I think I'm a little too old for these books but I still love it purely out of nostalgia and Chris Colfer。。。 even though some of the lines are cheesy I still think it has a great message and I'm happy books like these exist for kids because everything that is discussed in Chris Colfer's books are so important and I'm glad to know that they have his books to turn to and learn from。 I think I'm a little too old for these books but I still love it purely out of nostalgia and Chris Colfer。。。 even though some of the lines are cheesy I still think it has a great message and I'm happy books like these exist for kids because everything that is discussed in Chris Colfer's books are so important and I'm glad to know that they have his books to turn to and learn from。 。。。more

This was truly good the plot was a 10/10 I was honestly not excepting it to turn that way AT ALL。 I spent such a good time reading this, adding some darkness to this book serie was one of the best idea Chris Colfer ever made。 The cover is amazing, I love the characters and the easter egg too were so cool! Anyway, READ THIS BOOK ASAP!! PS: Lucy is such a baddas。✨

No spoilers here!! TLDR: If you’re over 12, don’t read this。 The writing quality is awful and juvenile and wasn’t worth it for the plot。 I used to love the Land of Stories books back in elementary school, and now I know why。 They are definitely written for a young reader。 I guess I never noticed it before because I WAS a young reader, but now I finally see all the things I missed。 For example: - Way too many exclamation points (Don’t ask me why, but if there is more than one in a book, I see it No spoilers here!! This book was inspiring。 The characters learn to overcome their fears and work together even though they couldn't be more different from each other。 I didn't think there would be a sequel to A Tale of Magic but it turned out amazing。 I can't wait for Chris Colfer's new book to come out in September。 It's going to be epic!!!
